Life Groups

Life groups are a ministry of small groups.  The stated general purpose for each life group is to provide an opportunity for the small group to develop a closer relationship with God and with one another through meeting together. 

Each group comes together out of a common interest or goal.  The groups begin meeting in the early part of the calendar year and meet 1-2 times each month.  Representatives from all groups join together in the late fall to celebrate and report on all that they have learned throughout the year. 

For the calendar year of 2009, groups that are currently meeting include:

Book and Movie Club:  this group selects books and movies that members are interested in reviewing.   Examples of books recently read and reviewed include The Shack and The Secret Life of Bees.  Fireproof is a recent movie that was viewed and discussed.  Please contact Cindy Lapp at 248-320-8076 for details about meeting dates/places/times.

Prayer Group:  this group is exploring ways to enhance their personal prayer lives as well as spending time each meeting in prayer.  Please contact Sue Howard at 734-422-4286 for the schedule of meetings.

Relaxation group:  “Be still and know that I am God”.  This group explores different ways to be quiet in this world of chaos.  Please call Kim Breton at 734-728-3371 or Mona Griffin at 248-355-1029 for the schedule or any questions.

Senior Reach out group:  this group is designed to serve our seniors and our shut-ins.  They send cards and notes, maintain phone contact and make home visitations to support and encourage these members.  Please contact Nancy Zeniewicz at 248-777-2374 for the schedule of meetings.
