BIBLE BOWL
Our most recent competition on March 10(covering Romans Ch. 11-16), resulted in our Junior team taking 5th place, Primary team A placing 4th place and our Primary Team B taking 2nd place! We are proud of our kids!
Our second competition on February 10 (covering Romans Ch. 7-10), resulted in our Junior team taking 3rd place, Primary team A placing 2nd place and our Primary Team B winning FIRST PLACE!
At our first competition on Sunday, January 20, the students covered Romans Chapter 1-6, and did a fine job! Our Junior Team took 3rd place, Primary Team A tied for 3rd place and Primary Team B secured FIRST PLACE!
The Primary Team A and Team B qualified to attend the STATE COMPETITION on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Primary Team A earned a 5th place showing, while Primary Team B took FIRST PLACE!
It was a great year of competition and learning! We are all looking forward to competing again next year!

Great Lakes Bible Bowl website
Our 2013 teams included 13 children, 4 coaches and 2 resource people who provide materials and questions to help the teams and coaches in their studying! The students practiced hard as a group on Sunday, and on their own throughout the week. The teams are part of the Great Lakes Bible Bowl which is a scripture competition between teams of young people from area churches of Christ in Michigan. There are three divisions:
♦ Primary (3rd through 5th Grades)
♦ Junior (6th – 8th Grades)
♦ Senior (9th – 12th Grades).
Each competition consists of rounds of 20 multiple choice questions per division.
At each competition, the first three teams in each division are awarded trophies.
At the end of the "season" the top three Senior teams are awarded scholarship money to Rochester College.*
Also, at the end of the "season" the top three teams in each division are invited to compete in the state finals, with the first place teams receiving a week of Summer Camp at Michigan Christian Youth Camp.*
Overall in the 2012 season, the
Junior team placed 1st!
Primary team A placed 3rd
Primary team B placed 1st
As a result of their outstanding season, all teams went to the State Competition on March 18, 2012, where the Primary team B won 2nd place medals!
